The 1818 Fight Tatami Interlocking EVA Foam Mats is a modular flooring system designed to provide stable footing, impact cushioning, and dependable training support for martial arts, grappling, and functional fitness environments. Suitable for Judo, Jiu-Jitsu, Aikido, Hapkido, MMA drills, groundwork, and general movement training, the mats can be used in home gyms, dojos, studios, recreational facilities, and shared training spaces.

Each mat measures 100cm × 100cm, providing one square metre of coverage and making it easier to calculate the number of mats required for a specific area. The interlocking edges connect securely to neighbouring sections, helping create a continuous surface that can be expanded, reduced, or rearranged as training needs change. This modular format is particularly useful for temporary setups, growing facilities, and areas that may need to be cleared or reconfigured.

The tatami-style textured surface improves traction during footwork, stance changes, transitions, and controlled grappling exchanges. This added grip helps athletes maintain steadier positioning during dynamic movement without creating an overly smooth training surface. The 40mm option offers increased foam depth for settings where additional cushioning is preferred, including higher-impact drills and more frequent throwing or takedown practice. The appropriate thickness should be selected according to the activity, training intensity, and requirements of the facility.

The reversible grey-and-black design allows either side to be used as the visible surface. This makes it possible to change the appearance of the training area or create visual borders, zones, and designated practice sections. The mats can be arranged in a single colour or combined to support a more structured floor layout.

Made from water-resistant, closed-cell EVA foam, the mats are easier to maintain than permanently installed flooring. Individual sections can be removed for cleaning, drying, storage, or replacement without dismantling the full training area.
